Trench Competent Person Training
OSHA mandates that employers who have employees working in trenches must have a competent person on site. ”Competent person” means one who is capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surroundings, or working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees, and who has authorization to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate them. We can train employees to act in the competent person role. Topics include: Site safety, vibration and utility isolation, ventilation and de-watering procedures, Atmospheric monitoring, Sheeting and shoring, and Support system construction This course meets OSHA 1926 sub-part P.
